So on a whim, during Inktober 2016, I decided to take on some fish. They're an unfamiliar subject matter for me (I think I've done like...maybe 2 or 3 bony fish as totems? Maybe?)

Illustrated in ink on illustration board, and coloured in watercolours, which are a medium I've been trying out a bit lately and am still getting the hang of.

That's a nice fish! I keep meaning to try out actual art in watercolours (instead of just textures to use in digital art) I really should.

Watercolours are a lot of fun I think. :D They can be stubborn, and don't always do what you want them to, but sometimes that's part of what I like about it. :)

My first thought was hey that's a trout! So I'm glad I finally spotted the caption stating that it is, in fact, a trout. *lol*

It's lovely. The energy balls on this one remind me of fish eggs.
