[Art] Great Skua, Barred Owl and Roe Deer

The Barred Owl is unavailable for sale, and oh, her feathers were an interesting journey, heh.

These were all a great deal of fun to illustrate. Great Skua had one of the harder energies I've worked with for a while, but I'm not entirely surprised given what a canny predator they are.

Roe Deer was not as 'soft' (not really at all soft) compared to White-Tailed Deer (who I've illustrated twice). Obviously everyone's mileage with totems on a personal level varies, but that's my read on things.

They're all so gorgeous, but the Barred Owl is really stunning! I've always been a sucker for blues and purples.

I think the name bonxie is awesome, to be honest. :D (And doesn't surprise me about the dive bombing, they are fierce birds!)

I adore that Roe Deer. ... have you ever done Mule Deer?

I haven't, no! I think the only two deer I've illustrated are Roe and White-Tailed. And maybe one other from Europe... and then also Muntjac, heh. But not Mule Deer I'm afraid!
