I have been very close to White rhino both in the wild (well, habituated in a game park, but still a wild animal) and in a zoological collection, and it's funny how one tends to forget just how *massive* they are. Possibly because they are not as tall as elephants, but when you actually are near them and they move, it is astonishing. Your lemur photos are also *super*. Thank you for sharing the photos. :)

Yeah, they have so much power and bulk, it's kind of incredible.

I'm never very lucky with the lemurs usually - but this time it just worked out! I guess you can never tell which animals are going to be active and which not; I mean you can generally tell by time of day, and keeper feeding times, but in terms of: will the lighting be good, will they be close to spectators etc...all of that is so up in the air.
