Things have been interesting lately.
I am officially single.
Still finding it incredibly hard to write about my life.
I am recovering from some abuse stuff which is difficult,
because it's recent. But it's okay. I have good support.

All of these taken on my iPhone.

Kelvin Helmholtz clouds under the cut!

Flex that bicep!

Flare.

Sparse.

Okay, this is a shite photo, but this shows Kelvin Helmholtz clouds, which are a very rare cloud phenomenon (it's in the centre, and it looks like waves - it's naturally forming). Kelvin Helmholtz tends to last a maximum of about five minutes before it disintegrates. I've been lucky to catch it about three or four times in Perth now - but I mean, I'm a cloudwatcher, always looking at the clouds, and I've still hardly seen it. This is the first time I had a camera and could sort of catch it.

Moody as fuck.

Glows

Altocumulus.

Gloomy over the hills.

Altocumulus fractus.

We are all underwater.

Sacredness.

Pastels.

Gentle worlds.

Softnesses.

I'm also getting addicted to raindrops on windscreens.

I like the murky light-worlds they create.

"Interesting" eh? Not *too* interesting I hope, but officially single sounds like quite the change. Hope you're doing ok. I'm much reassured by the photos and the doodles. Maybe I can resurrect the dream to get us together one day.

Sorry for the choppy text - writing this during a bad night and after taking some serious pills. I think they're starting to kick in.

These are all magnificent! Your Kelvin Helmholtz clouds actually aren't too terribly rare here. As you say, they are very transitory, but I've seen them at least three times in the previous year, always shortly after dawn. It actually makes sense because they are generated by velocity shear yes? And we are in a transition zone, where the wind either comes down off the highest slopes, or blows up against them, and right after dawn with the heat of the rising sun it would create quite the gradient difference from the previous pre-dawn chill. Heh. I can of course not prove anything about my blather, as I am usually not carrying a camera, and as you say they change incredibly quickly.

Re: the other important life matters, hopefully the changes, though very challenging, prove to be good ones.

I can definitely say that you are the main reason I've been inspired to keep my phone in my bag when I walk of late, turning my eyes upward to watch the sky rather than surfing facebook for the umpteenth time. I don't know much about the cloud formations I see, but I'm grateful that you've got me *looking* again, even if I can't necessarily *identify.*

You're in my thoughts regarding all the life shifts. Change is a scary bugger, but I sincerely hope your changes are for the best.

I just love all of these... the rain ones are particularly interesting, though the sky ones are utterly stunning.

How can you not love the sky here, when it produces such beauty, and so often?

That said, I am so very glad that it has turned from the Summer all-eye-searing-cloudless-all-the-time into Winter's more interesting and clouded alternatives.

Plus: RAIN!!!!!! ^_^

As for changes, may they be as helpful and healing as possible for all involved, with a minimum of suffering and drama.

One of my favorite things when I'm outside is cloudbusting, so I have a soft spot for clouds. And the raindrops shots are absolutely gorgeous!
