The landscape here can be pretty amazing sometimes. I mean it can anywhere, but I think it was Bill Bryson that said um... one of my favourite ever quotes about Perth...which I can't find, damn it. It's in his book Down Under, and basically because we have the least pollution of any major continent in the world, plus flat country here in Perth, and well...a hole in our ozone layer among other things, we have a quality of light that literally isn't found anywhere else. It's kind of like adding an element of 'saturate' to all your photos. And so far I've found that to be true in the other places I've visited but I haven't been many places so, I expect like...cleaner, less populated places and not heavily industrialised places like Canada probably have similar.

Mmm... beach... Sun, warm, waves... :D Thank you for sharing these! My favourite in this set has to be the last, but two others also really caught my attention. The photo with the cattle was another one of those "it could be here, just the prairies later in summer" shots (right down to the breed -- Hereford Simmental crosses unless my eye is wrong, which makes sense because they are hardy beef strains). And the eucalyptus in King's Park took me back to Bolivia of all places, though the ground cover is of course very different. They've planted eucalyptus there in the lower elevations because of their drought hardiness, quick growth, and hard wood that is good for construction. Specifically it reminds me of the idyllic little town of Sorata. *Sigh wistfully* I must find a way to do some more traveling again.

Chittering/Bindoon is literally about...40 minutes North of us. The landscape changes a bit in all directions. North we have that rolling sort of countryside. 30 minutes West we have that specific beach. 30 minutes south we have the city. And 30 minutes east we have 'the hills' and vineyards and so on.

And yes, you must! It would be wonderful if you could do some travelling again. If only it weren't so hard on the bank accounts.

It was such a cold, wintery day that day. Like it must have rained about 3.5 of the 4 hours we were driving. I love rainy, cold beaches.
