[Writing] Dreaming of Djinn Anthology. :)

I am really, really happy (and excited) to announce the upcoming Ticonderoga short story anthology, Dreaming of Djinn is up for pre-order (to be released in April 2013).

I am especially excited because my own short story, Street Dancer, will be included!

I am in amazing company, and the project is a really exciting one. My own story is futuristic spice-trail steampunk, set within a cultural melting pot of trade and subsequent entertainment, and the heartbreak and love that grows within. It's been awesome to focus on writing again over the past couple of years, since it is one of my primary loves. I'd also like to add an extra thank you to Project Nascent (our writer's group), and all the nights of brownies, chocolate, critique and word counts. You guys are the greatest.

I have been informed that books will NOT be made available to those who don't pledge - so if you don't pledge and help fund the project over the next two and a half weeks, there will be no chance to purchase the books with the artwork later on! There is an option to pledge for a soft-cover or a hard-cover, and some new artwork has been added. :)

I saw the announcement via other channels, saw the name next to Street Dancer and wondered if that was you. I'd have to agree that you are in some excellent company. Congratulations!

Incidentally, I just talked my sweetheart into ordering me one of the limited editions of Prickle Moon. I can't wait to get my hands on it! Although, Mt TBR is looking higher and higher...

Yeah, I trade primarily under Pia Ravenari, because Ravenari is a recognised art username I've been using for ages now. But I plan to write under my real name (mostly because I thought about developing a new moniker, until I realised that most of the stuff I've had published in the past has been under my real name).

And yay for getting one of the limited editions! :D

I will definitely be putting in for a hardcover of Losing Altitude when I have a bit of discretionary cash again (i.e. the middle of the month). I love your art of course, but some of the work of the other contributors also looks *excellent*.

I'll also have to add Dreaming of Djinn to my To-be-purchased list, along with Prickle Moon. :)

Honestly, the contributors to this project are freaking fantastic. I am in company that is absolutely more skilled than I am (I know I am a skilled artist, but there are some artists contributing to this project who are *incredible.*)
