[Art] Red Circle Totems - Part II

I'm doing these in two batches, but it's still a lot of art.

Thank you! The red circles are sacred in Vilturj, and are used as a fundamental way of representing specific energy points in living beings (including landscapes).

Could these energy points be likened to chakras?

*nods* Yes, though they're sometimes found at different points, and it's not uniform across an animal, or types of animal.

Oh! So then these energy points can exist at different places for different individuals then. Can they also change position over time?

[moonvoice]

They can! The example that always comes to mind - that I was taught - is that a landscape may have four energy points. However, if a grove of trees seeds and sprouts and grows strong, one of those energy points may shift towards the grove of trees, or alternatively, the grove of trees may be so strong, another energy point grows directly in the landscape.

People's tend to stay in relatively similar places, but - that being said - they can shift and alter over time. :)

This makes sense. I've often felt that individual trees or clusters of trees create their own nodes of energy. I imagine this might be like all the minor chakras of the human body.

Can humans create energy points on a landscape? For example, if a piece of land has been overused or polluted, could humans clean it or say add compost to the soil and possibly even reform or heal damaged energy centers? Moreover, could a group of people that continually meet at a particular spot eventually contribute enough energy and focus to just make an entirely new energy center?

As you can probably tell, this topic fascinates me.

Oh, can these energy centers be lost? What happens if they are? If they are lost from a landscape, could that be compared to soul loss in a human?

This is an amazingly potent series. I am sitting on my hands about the Red Kangaroo, because I do not have the spare dosh (due to the unexpected increase in bills of the canine dental variety). Tempted, though. Very tempted. (And yes, I honestly think I could use a good ass-kicking in certain areas of my life. This is part of what attracts me to the totem!) :D

The red kangaroo is definitely up there in my own personal estimations of how much I love individual pieces. But then, I love red kangaroo as a totem in general. His warrior energy, and his ability to thrive in sparse situations in a way that many other animals simply *can't* makes him incredible to work with. Watching a documentary featuring red kangaroos recently (David Attenborough's work, actually), and how the red kangaroo is the only large mammal/marsupial that can stay out and about in all but the peak hours of the day in some of the world's hottest and most unrelenting regions.

Having also had the opportunity to meet some in person, they are one of those animals I find dually satisfying - awesome in person (though they demand respect), awesome as a totem. I'm a sucker for all the macropods that I've met so far though, with probably the red kangaroo coming in on top. /ramble.

As someone who is generally not the most comfortable with big cat energy, you sure are making me LOVE Ocelot and Amur Leopard. *g*

I really might need to start putting money away for one of them. <3 *covets*

I can be quite uncomfortable with big cat energy, and have been in the past, so maybe whatever breakthrough I've had with big cats have made them more accessible to others like me? *speculates*

The background for Komodo Dragon is really grabbing me - the tree shapes and their "reflections" are really potent.

Thank you! I like the colours / the way meerkat came together. I actually saved him for last, because I wasn't sure how I would go, but meerkat was very generous and warm, and it worked out.
