I dream of having an awesome scanner, or being able to drive somewhere easily, and get larger art pieces scanned. Anyway, this piece is A4, so it does fit in the scanbed.
I love the varied thickness on the one side of the Northern Goshawk (and the energy spiral as well). It gives depth and, to me, the feeling of existing in two slightly different planes at once. But that may just be me, heh.
I was much taken with just the sketch. This black and white version is even more remarkable. I love the intricacy and sheer *power* here. You've captured the bird as I know it, by the way. The are forceful, even for raptors. :)
