This is *gorgeous*. You know I normally love the black and white stage of your work, but the energy in this really is incredible. The details! The expressions. :D It is an extraordinary way to start the day (for me), certainly!

I realised as I was doing this work that there is a bit of a difference between my inking when I'm doing it just black/white vs. in preparation for colour. I really need to do more of the former, since it stretches me in terms of generating texture with one medium only.
