I'm not gonna lie,
I'm tremendously pleased with how this is evolving.
Still got a little ways to go,
and the colouring isn't finished yet.
But I'm closer to the end than I was before, and it's turned out better than I'd hoped.

I love how the wolverine's coat *glows* with light. It really is an astounding piece!

Thank you! The coat was a lot of fun. It has several layers of colour in it, and a lot of violet / purple and blue, which brings out the warmth in the browns and makes it gleam a little brighter.

These close-ups are gorgeous! This whole piece is gorgeous.

And I've been spending the last good 30-45 minutes or so showing the nephew and his mom more of your artwork. Needless to say, there are 2 more Pia converts. *g*

I LOVE sharing your work with friends. In fact, the nephew was pretty bowled over by Turkey Vulture as Totem [which means I need to save up pennies to buy him something with that on it]. He kept talking about your artwork so much, his mom bought a big piece of foam board and they are working on an art project together. A kind of homage to your work, as it REALLY struck a chord with my nephew. And anything I can do to encourage the boy to draw, I'm doing it. *g*

The browns of the wolverine's fur look so rich; the layers of color for it have a smooth, glowing quality that reminds me a bit of watercolor. It's so gorgeous!

This is turning out to be seriously stunning. I love the texture of the fur, and the vividness of the wolverine's eyes.
