Under the cut you'll find five more animals.
Six 'as totems' and I'm so excited to work on ALL of them.
In other news, I have been very spoiled this week by presents in the mail.
<3
You guys make my days and nights brighter.

Date: 2011-12-15 02:29 pm (UTC)The okapi is my favorite at this point, but it's hard to pick. I'm agog to see "World Tree Raven" finished. (Coincidentally, I was just admiring a friend's photos of their recent trip to East Africa, and was sighing wistfully over a White-necked Raven photo. Provided Life will let me, I think it's time I start thinking seriously about doing some recreational travel again. It's been *far* too long.)

And totally do not want to mess with American Badger.

Date: 2011-12-15 04:53 pm (UTC)* Okapi has such a serenity and peacefulness to it.
* Black Mamba reminds me of my "buddy" at the Serpentarium.
* King Cobra is already giving me chills [in a good way]. There's a gorgeous one at Woodland Park Zoo that has an interesting relationship with me. He [I think it's a male] always comes out of hiding for me and will "stand up" and show me his hood, but not in an aggressive way. If I walk away, he goes back into hiding. This cobra that you've drawn reminds me of him in a really eerie, but good way.
* Patagonian Mara is beautiful.
* World Tree Raven is also incredible. There's something there that I can't quite put my finger on, but this one is my third favorite [after Black Mamba and King Cobra].
* American Badger is ... *squee* I LOVE badgers [they're the state animal of my home state, to boot]. And this one you've drawn is totally lifelike, but makes me want to cuddle him [?] because of the wooby look on his face.

Date: 2011-12-16 05:33 am (UTC)The Patagonian Mara looks so
wiseknowing and compassionate... Something about the cant of the ears and the eye, I think.Badger* looks a little sorrowful, in a uniquely Badger-ly way. (*sigh* "I wish you hadn't forced me do this" *attempts to beat stupid out of some deserving fool*)
Okapi, as others have stated, looks so serene...
*applauds your l33t Art skills*
(*) The scientific names for the European and North American Badgers still amuse the hell out of me. EU: Meles Meles (Badger, Badger) NA: Taxidea Taxus (Looks like a badger, Is a badger)
