I let them out again yesterday. Moet showed no signs of wanting to 'fly the coop' (jump the fence).
Maybe pretty much never shows any signs of it.
I was hoping to grab some sunshine,
but it was mostly overcast.
Which was okay. Still nice outside.
The collision was inevitable! - Maybe being a total numpty, as usual, and enjoying herself in the process. She was in a very playful mood yesterday, outside, and spent most of her time barrelling into Moet, or playing with invisible insects and rabbits and so forth.

Moet has just seen Maybe here. - This is one of the rare moments when Moet sees Maybe with her back turned, and he decides to stalk her instead of the other way around. This was just as he started to really lock onto her.

Another 'observing Maybe' shot. I think that's everyone's default mode in this house.

My handsome boy. Can't believe he's turning 6 this year!

He appropriated that dog bed a long time ago.

Maybe appropriated pissing him off.

Jumping OFF the chair now. She spent about 60 seconds enjoying the novelty of the chair being outside before realising that the novelty of outside was far more interesting than the chair.

SO PRETTY.

'Hey! That's not how we dance!' Maybe not playing fair. As usual. It's okay, Moet doesn't play fair either. It's harder to catch him getting her, but boy and howdy when he does! Smackdown.

Maybe playing and stalking in the sand.

Maybe happily lying down mid-stalk. In this photo she's lying down briefly while stalking Moet, and she's focused on him, and I think just enjoying the fun of stalking her older brother / grumpy uncle.

This was an 'I'm coming for you, Moet!' pounce. But he was completely nonplussed.

Totally nonplussed.

I love my girl.

Rolling in the sand.

I just like this shot, because it shows her posture. Alert and long.

'I'm coming for YOU, Moet!' Again.

Maybe likes to do what Moet is doing. Here, she is sniffing a plant he was sniffing.

Moet is not as much of a fan of Maybe copying him, as she thinks he is. Look how well he camouflages!

This is Maybe investigating the hole that Moet was investigating, and Moet deciding that he's had enough.

Saying hello. I LOVE this shot. Maybe was stalking bees (I kept a safe distance), and Moet walked up to her for a change, and then said hello to her by sniffing her face and both of them touching whiskers / noses. It lasted about two minutes, but I was at an awkward angle to get a good shot. I love Maybe's expression though.

MEOW.

Slinky.

Playing with a small flying bug.

That quickly flew out of her reach.

That's it for now! :)

Date: 2011-08-25 01:33 am (UTC)I loved watching them sniff noses. They did it for a while, and then they investigated bees together, side by side. (At that point I was trying to get them away from the bees; so...no photographs).
As I write this, Moet is yodelling throughout the house. For fun. He's so weird.

Date: 2011-08-25 03:16 am (UTC)I used to have a kitty who looked a lot like Maybe and had similarities in posture and attitude (at least what can be judged from photos). She was such a good hunter/stalker.
