We can only really afford to do our garden section by section,
but that doesn't mean it's still supremely satisfying.
Especially this year,
when the Acacia are outdoing themselves
our garden is a bee haven (for both invasive and native species)
and there are jewel beetles to be found.

Are garden needs some serious remulching right now. But it can wait.

Grevillea - just starting to blossom.

Are these all native? Either way, this is such a beautiful garden.

Ooh! Tthe shape of the plants makes it look like they've grown in under the fence, somehow, from outside. Or, I just have an overactive imagination. Either way, it's very nice.

It's remarkable to see how your garden has developed. (I also love Moet's super-stretch in the first shot.)

What a wonderful happy looking garden! And it's hard to imagine that your climate and mine (I'm in Melbourne) are in the same country, even. They're so different!

I've been gardening a lot this week (to the point where it's detrimental to my physical health... keeping an eye on that) and a bunch of kids who live around popped up this morning and asked me all sorts of questions and I got to answer some fantastic questions like what dirt was made of and why I couldn't grow an apple tree in the tiny 1x1m shaded plot. I really enjoy kids!

Also I am waiting for a $60 order from Diggers to arrive ... impatient!
