I can finally post both of these commissions, which were SO much fun to do, and both completed a while ago; but were intended as gifts which delays release time.

I mean seriously, reptiles are mad awesome.

I think the background on Savannah Monitor is going to be one of my all-time favorites. It's really atmospheric and moody and intense. Also, the lizard really pops against it. (and it's -looking- at me like I might be tasty D:)

The background on the Savannah Monitor is one of my favourites as well. The colours were determined on clashing in the beginning, but she was really firm about what she wanted, and in the end it worked so well. It reminds me of a space photo.

Oh that is some EXCELLENT shiny going on in both of these. :D

(PS - I know it's just the way you coloured in the black space in Gila Monster, but I love how, in the photo to show the shiny, it looks very faintly like scales).

You've really captured the gentleness of the Gila monster! And I particularly love the scales on the underside of the neck on the Savannah monitor.

Gila monster came across as very gentle, and Savannah monitor - she came across as quite picky! But I'm glad she was, because it was worth it for that background.
