Somehow I really like the turned-back head of the paradigalla, with the angle of the neck. Very unusual pose.

I was thinking this as well; a top, over the shoulder angle rather than from the side. It's very awesome. :D

(I grew up on a farm. Chicken/rooster/cow/country kitchen art tends to offput me. But this is beautiful!)

That's okay! :D It wouldn't even normally matter except that I am anally retentive and it seemed like a big deal to the person who requested it (otherwise I would have myself chosen to illustrate lots of flamboyant roosters).
