So we decided to let Moet and Maybe outside again, supervised.
We've decided against making a cat run, since we enjoy spending time outside with them; for obvious reasons. :)


Maybe engages in hallucinatory play a lot. Probably because it allows her to show off her insane acrobatics. All her claws are out, and when she gets like this, we all just back off and generally let her. Because; LOOK AT THOSE CLAWS.






There was a raven in the background, too.





Moet was just happy to be outside so he could eat stuff.





Like so.





Maybe was stalking things.





She was stalking Buddhism!





And she was stalking Moet. And flehming.





And she was stalking grass, and the wall.





Then she took a brief break from stalking.





And then she started to roll around.





But she saw a piece of wood. So she decided to start stalking that. While rolling around.





Stalky stalky stalk.





In the meantime, Moet was generally enjoying himself and rolling around in the sand.





Adooooorable.





And then Maybe decided to... well, you get the picture. It's just playing though. Her claws are in.





But she's still kind of a bitch.





And she usually wins.





Here she is being a general community menace.





She likes to get in everyone's face. I don't let her get away with it...





...But Moet does.





That said, they still like to stick together. :)





Probably because Moet knows he's got a total badass looking after him. I mean here she is contemplating hallucinatory play; which is when cats decide to play with nothing.





Then she starts 'playing.' Probably keeping her skills up so she can dismember us in our sleep.





Don't believe me? Thank the gods there's only one Maybe in the world. That's all I'm saying.





We love our huntress.





And our sand tiger.

Is hallucinatory play really common in cats? I think I've seen it before, but seeing a picture of Maybe doing it is pretty awesome. I especially love the picture where she's mid-roll and wants to pounce on the stick. Wee!!

A lot of cats do it. But Maybe does it more than other cats I've had, and in a really big way. It's so fast though, it's a miracle I caught those shots on camera.

Haha, I think cats are really swatting at things we can't percieve.

Huzzah Action!Maybe! Actually, the lighting and/or camera angle really shows the spots in her coat beautifully, and emphasizes that her markings are agouti (in some the striped on her shoulders almost look like they're made of two colours -- first red, then black). And Moet's gentleness of character really shines through, too. :)

I love how gorgeous their coats look next to the green, the rocks and sand. There's something very lovely about domestic animals out in nature. :)
