The cats have been romping around like mad all day today.
So they're on edge and alert and stuff.
I decided to go find them on the kitchen table.


Because life is always better when you're in a blue laundry basket.






'I am looking at you!' Sometimes. Creepily. I'll be on the computer and hear a random meow from the kitchen table. I'll slide my slidey-chair on over and look outside of my study to see Maybe on that corner, staring at me, like she's been staring at me through the study wall the entire time. Usually when this happens, she jumps off the table for some pats. Well-played Maybe, well-played.





Laundry baskets are good for attackey games. Maybe watches from the top corner, fascinated.





'I do not like keeping an ear on you and on Maybe at the same time. And I am pretending I am not noticing either one of you. BUT I AM.'





They frequently mirror each other's body poses. This is a weaker example, but often on the bed - even if they're at opposite ends of the bed - they'll sleep in exactly the same way. Maybe is usually the one to mimic Moet.





Alert kitty is very alert.

My gods Maybe is HUGE now. Or she looks that way in the second (staring) photo. I can't get over it, I remember how small she looked in her first pictures.

Maybe is really big now. She's reached her full size, and she's a bit broader too, because she's getting a bit more muscly. Hee. :D

Yeah, they are easter eggs from easter. I'm not eating much chocolate per day at the moment, so there's actually a LOT of chocolate in the house. It's quite disconcerting.

Moet obviously *really* likes the laundry basket. And Maybe is just amusing. She's so very alert and *on* she almost reminds me of a wind up toy. Press the button and she pounces! :)

Moet *really* likes all laundry baskets. Whether they have clothing in them or not. If there's one on the ground, he'll sit in it for no other reason than it's a laundry basket and it's awesome.

Same with cardboard boxes.

What we haven't tried however, is putting out a cardboard box AND a laundry basket at the same time and seeing which one he likes *more.* :D

That's kind of Maybe during the day when she's not sleeping. She has 'on' and 'sleeping.' Moet has 'sleeping' 'relaxing' 'relaxed' 'I want to relax go away Maybe' 'oh look at that thing I can't go over there I'm too tired' 'on for less than five minutes' and 'on because Maybe wants me to be.' Pretty much. He's probably got a few 'zen' style moods as well. Oh and 'sleepily staring at Glen and purring loudly because it's my DINNER TIME.' Oh! He also has 'on because there is a laundry basket / stack of books / wrapping paper in the room.'
