I feel like I've been working on this illustration for 4,000 years.
Of course, it hasn't been that long.
I'm exaggerating.

I am blown away. Such a powerful piece. Every detail shot showed me something I'd missed the first time.

The details in this are astonishing, and very haunting. I am particularly struck by the rabbit's eyes. You've captured them absolutely incredibly. And you know, I actually feel very stupid. I hadn't grasped the dog symbolism until now. Such a profound piece.

Oooohhhh... I... I don't have the right words to say how incredible this piece is. There's something here that hits me really profoundly. I'll have to think about that for a while...

There is so, so much power in this. And that detail - how have your fingers not fallen off?

Fragmented thoughts:

For some reason, I expected there to be one rabbit in the background with its eyes open. I don't know what this says, but it's there.

I get a sense of peace from this, which seems at odds with what it is.

Scratch that, I get a sense of peace from the rabbits making up the background. Sleeping? Dead? Untouchable? And from the main rabbit, complete and immense sorrow.

There's something incredibly confronting about it, something that makes me feel as though I'm shattering into pieces looking at it.

Intense, incredibly powerful and full of Mystery. Damn, that's a juicy Story spilling itself across the page. I love how much of this piece *glitters*.

Pull rabbits out of rabbits...

It reminds me very much of the Magician card in the tarot as well.

And of that Telstra add... to many rabbits in China.

I read the ink as a rabbit vomiting a rabbit vomiting rabbits.

I read the colored version with the motion in reverse - inhaling, swallowing. The contrast has unnerved me.

Though I was surprsied at the palette, I think I was expecting something psychedelic in terms of color like your other rabbit piece XD

The fact that you used more realistic and earthy colors here makes the picture more eerie and surreal; very cool.

This is very impressive and powerful. I'm trying to understand my reaction to it, which is to shy away from it (fault of the viewer not the artist, I assure you). On the other hand, I greatly wish some textile artist could recreate the rabbit's dress irl.

The detail is incredible! And the eyes are so lifelike that I can't look into them for long without feeling uncomfortable.

I wish I could mention my emotional reaction to this piece, though it's an obscure set of feelings (which, when looking back at your other Wandsuna pieces, seems to be a typical reaction for me--albeit with differing emotions, but nevertheless ones that are too obscure for me to identify, even to just myself). So I'll take a more aesthetic approach to commenting instead.

The rabbits, especially the two more realistic ones in the foreground, really stand out with the appearance of their eyes (and the potential emotional messages that can send to the viewer) and the 'softness' of their fur. To me, that creates a striking conflict in my mind as to how to react to the image because my mind wants to view the piece in a more positive, peaceful, or satisfying manner (while sort of mentally ignoring the vomiting aspects of the piece), and simultaneously recognizing the darker, more disturbing aspects. It twists my mind into thinking at the same time "that's such a beautiful image, and the background rabbits look so peaceful" and "that's a very powerful, deep, and dark image".

The silhouetted rabbits in the 'vomit' have a very different style, contrast, and simplicity to them that makes them either stand out in ways from the remainder of the piece (emphasizes them), or can make one's eyes try to 'separate' them from the rest of the image as though they are "not part of it"; but I think that their different style really adds to the overall image and its symbolism. The detail throughout the piece is amazing, along with the color choices and the shading/highlighting.

Holy shit. The final version looks even more like Watership Down. (Since you said before that you hadn't seen the movie, this video of the beginning should hopefully illustrate. Whole thing seems to be up on YouTube if you're ever bored. And I really hope that link works since you are in Australia and all. Unfortunately I can't check >_< )

It's a really, really powerful piece. And holy shit, the detail. My hands throb in sympathy. o.o

That coat's design = even more mindblowing in colour. :)

Disturbingly awesome, the small amounts of turquoise on the coat really makes the whole thing pop, especially in contrast to all the browns. Just lovely. I love the touches of orange as well, but... I am such a sucker for oranges.
