I love the Walrus and the red-winged black bird. When I have the money, I'll definitely have to get prints of both of them. The only thing I wish I could do though is actually buy the original of the Walrus because the scan does not do justice for the "shiny" inking (using the term "shiny" because I can't remember the proper word for it).

I know my mom is fond of red-winged blackbirds, so a print would be a nice gift for her. But I love it myself too.

Lol, the red-winged blackbirds are the local macho shits of the playground XD But I love them, even when we catch a million in one day. I'm gonna rate your picture as a "beyond second year male" since you made the orange so bright.

The Walrus is *super*, but in the fully coloured phase I'm particularly smitten with the Armadillo out of this set. I also really like the "opulence" of the Red-winged blackbird -- fitting I suppose since they do think highly of themselves! The blues and the details of the Red-shouldered Hawk in the shared totems piece are also very striking. The Lory's vibrant portrait is very appropriate for the bird, even if I find it a little bright for my taste. :)

So pretty! Armadillo is still my favorite of this batch (though indeed I absolutely love them all). There's something sweet but powerful about it.

Ah, Walrus! I love how mountainous s/he looks here. :) Epic. Loving the colours of Black-winged Lory a TON. And the pose of Armadillo is still my favourite from this set.

I'm amazed at how well Bengal Tiger and Red-Shouldered Hawk go together. Beautiful. :)

Oooh! Love the subtle coloring on the walrus' skin. And Armadillo as a whole is really, um, words aren't coming to me, but I think it's the spirals over spirals, next to the texture of its skin, combined with the colors, that make this one stand out.

And of course "Squee!" for the blackbird! :D I have been hoping to see this one ever since you said on FB you were working on it (that was me who said I'd love to see one done as totem). *bounce* He looks like he's smiling!

Red-winged blackbird is glorious! I am just welcoming them back for the spring - their calls are window-shaking (BREEEEE-DOO) and I haven't yet heard them in chorus, but they are coming back.

Redwinged blackbirds are one of my favorite birds. Your skill *really* increased lately. The details of fur/skin/feathers went from "wow" to "hella wow". I really wish I could think of another critter to commision you for, but I think my next one from you is going to be a plant, if you still create plant art.
