It's coming along.
I've said sayonara to three different Artline Drawing System pens so far.
In the meantime I've been reading about the evolution of birds,
and about the ecofloristic rain-forest provinces in Australia.
It's past midnight, and probably time to get some sleep (according to Maybe.)

Oh yeah; you do the whole 'chewing on fingers' thing as well?

Me too. I have grown nails at the moment which appears to indicate that I'm not personally stressed, but the skin around them suffers no matter what is happening.

Yes I do. My cuticles are always scabbed, ragged, bleeding, etc. They're particularly bad right now, so I'll let them heal (kind of), and then pick them apart again.

I've done it since I was a kid.

So I had shatterpath come over to look at this shot [because I had its tab up & she was walking by]. She is quite impressed and said it made her head hurt to think of how tiny those details are. She's guessing you're using a 0.02 or 0.03 nib on those little lines [I thought it was a 0.01]. And she said you have very delicate artist's hands, and you were clearly born to your talent.

I only work with 0.1, 0.5 and 0.8 in terms of nib size. The dots are done with a 0.1, as well as the legless ants, but there's a lot in there done with a 0.5 as well. :)

I do, thankfully, have hands good for art / piano and all the other art-y type things I do. I've always been extraordinarily grateful for them.

Wow! I'd have thought even thinner than you use for the pens. Then again, I don't work with anything thinner than a 0.5 for the most part. It just seems smaller somehow in your work...
