I would love to visit Australia just to watch one of these storms. We never get enough epic storms where I live, but I LOVE them SO VERY MUCH.

I could watch them for hours but they never last that long here. ;)

I don't get the "English + photographs of weather" comment, it's not something I'm familiar with in my culture. What's the reference? ^^

Culturally people from England are supposed to be obsessed with the weather, and talk about it allllll the time (i.e. starting conversations with the weather, finishing conversations with the weather, having a whole bulk of a dinner conversation be about the weather etc.). It's a massive generalisation, but one that's still found from time to time. As Western Australia is filled with so many English immigrants (among other things), particularly in Ellenbrook and Joondalup, you still get people joking about it.

Okay! Thanks for the explanation. I thought the "talking about weather" aspect of the discussion was common in most Western countries (from the North especially). It's well-known that people who small-talk and have nothing to say much will invariably talk about weather. I didn't know English people were considered to be the best at it. ^^

Here in France England is famous for its rain and "bad weather" (in comparison with French standards). Maybe there's a connection. :P
