Photo of the day
Feb. 28th, 2011 09:30 amCrooked not because of the frame or the hanging,
but because of my crooked hand.
I've actually had this frame sitting around for a little while, and haven't put Portable Photovoltaic Systems into it, mostly because of laziness. But as I need to see if the framer's can put D-rings on the back (even though they haven't gotten back to me yet about whether or not it's a D-ring exhibition), I probably should put the illustration in the frame!

Date: 2011-02-28 03:25 am (UTC)Maybe it'll at least direct people to your website and get them buying small pieces or prints?

I haven't, I'll have to look into it! :D

Date: 2011-02-28 04:28 am (UTC)What I was thinking of was the towers in your picture above. They remind me of the Citadel of Wizards, which is basically an old fashioned university with a fantasy twist (but more adult that Hogwarts). There are marvelously pun-laden names, intricate walkways, hidden chambers, etc. and it's a place I'd like to go wander about in. The Wizards are also mostly fond of cats, so there are many feline characters strolling about. :D (The books are The Silent Tower, The Silicon Mage, Dog Wizard, and set in the same universe Stranger at the Wedding. Her other books (what I've read of them, she's had a long career with a prodigious output) are also all at least good in my opinion, even if they obey the basic tropes of Fantasy. Given how long Hambly's been writing, she may have helped establish those tropes.
