It's quite impossible for me to say which of these is more spectacular. I really love the individual details on each! For the Turkey Vulture I'm enthralled by the eye and the wattles, for the Axolotl the movement of the whole and the delicacy of the energy spiral, and for the Topknot Pigeon the details of the feathers and the elegance of the energy spirals. :)
Topknot Pigeon is actually one of the oldest totems I ever wrote information for / connected with, about 8 years ago. Maybe even longer. So it's about time I illustrated one. :)
I'm partial to the Axolotl, but they remind me of Olms, and they are one of my favourite animals.
These are so very awesome! All of them. And I am completely in love with the fact that you didn't forget the hole in the beak for the Turkey Vulture. At this point, unless the color doesn't jive with what I know of my nephew, we're at about a 85% purchasing guarantee...

Date: 2011-02-09 05:29 am (UTC)I adore the fact that you can see clear through the nostril, and the detail in the eye. And of course feathers.
And Axolotl. Adorable, tough-as-nails, strangely vulnerable axolotl. Yours appears to be smiling.
I would be remiss if I did not comment on the Topknot Pigeon's serene pride.
TL;DR yay totems.
