I know people directly affected by this (on Loton and Range Rd, and in Brigadoon); so keeping my fingers crossed they all stay safe. There's a lot of families and horses and loved animals out there. :(

Hooooly shit....you Aussies are tough. One half of your country has been pummeled by water, and the other half is in danger of being burned down. I couldn't do it. *One* of these disasters would have me rafting for other shores. *nervous*

I'll keep you all in my thoughts, and I'll hope that all of this chaos settles down very soon, with zero loss of life. *sending supportive vibes*

Stay safe, my friend. I keep hearing about fires and floods and mayhem all over Australia.

Here in central Illinois, some of the ice melted before we got snowed on again. *chuckle* But we're still sleeping upstairs because there's less chance of a branch or something falling there and squishing us, just in case.

I hope everyone is able to evacuate. I hope other countries are able to pitch in with some relief effort the way everyone did with Haiti. Even though I know it's not the same, I still think it would be awesome if they did.
