I want to say awesome, but I use that so often in responding to your work. I think I'm going to have to buy a thesaurus so I stop sounding repetitive.

Honestly though, this is absolutely stunning, and you say it's only halfway done. Just wow!

I was really drawn to the sun and now that I know those are solar panels, I like it even more. :)

Oh man, that's not your brain fail, that's my art fail. I really struggled (and didn't really succeed) in getting them to look like solar panels, and I still don't know how successful I'll be at the end. That's why the title has 'photovoltaics' in it - but it's not a good sign when you need a title to explain a picture!

I wouldn't be too sure. I was sixteen before I realized that Target's logo was supposed to be a bullseye. My brain really doesn't see the things a lot of "normal" people see.

Looking at it now, I can see that the panels are a similar material as the windows in the background. They're obviously not organic. (Which I knew, because it's steampunk but I didn't connect the rest of the dots)

I really love the buildings and the sky and the sun in this. The browns/greys -- it really works with the world you've created.

Hm. I think part of the problem is that solar panels have dark glass panels. If you were to fill in the "glass" part of the panels to increase the contrast between the glass and framework, it might help?

This piece is coming along beautifully, and like many others, I've loved the inked, non-colored images of it, but the coloring looks great so far and I think it will turn out really well =). I also like the concept of it (your steam punk pieces so far have all been intriguing in their concepts) and the way you've portrayed that idea. I did catch on with the inked version that the ravens have solar panels on them, though I can understand the difficulty in getting them to look right but I think you'll pull it off well. The sun's design is also nicely done.

I look forward to seeing this one completed ^_^.
