The 'as totems' expansion oracle deck would - theoretically - be a deck that you could build and expand yourself. With over 250 'as totems' illustrations already, from all the major countries in the world, and the plan to introduce more specialised species, it will be possible to buy limited edition releases, build a base deck, and in the end, create a deck that is specific to your region, your favourite animals, your client's guides, and so on.









The Australian Animal Oracle Deck is a complete deck featuring 72 animals broken down into arcanas such as 'the big players' 'ferals' 'the quiet helpers' and so on. You can see all the images and meanings here: http://moonvoice.dreamwidth.org/410230.html









Obviously I'll be tweaking things, but this is what the actual size of the cards would look like; so you can see the resolution and the quality of the text right now. What do you think?

The text seems fine, I would have some concerns over the image quality compression for some of your more complex works, you may find you will have to re-do a few for the deck specifically so you don't get nasty compression errors.

Compressed and printed well, I don't think compression errors would be a problem at all. You of course wouldn't see all the fine inking detail the same as you would at full size, but I doubt you'd need to redo any at all.

Just my opinion, of course. But I think you could go even smaller (much smaller) before needing to worry about that. ;-)

Looks wonderful, and would definitely buy them. The only oracle I use with any regularity is the Druid Animal Oracle, and I'd love another animal based deck.

I'd automatically be buying a minimum of 2 of every single card available. One for my & shatterpath's deck and one for my nephew & his mom's deck. And I'd probably find other people to buy them for, as well...

And the Australian Animal Oracle Deck is what initially drew me to your journal, I think. IMSC, lupagreenwolf had mentioned the drawings and I fell in love like instantly!

When you say this is the actual size, do you mean the 180x252 pixel images on this page, or the larger images on the post about the complete deck?

They will be the size shown here. I cannot get larger ones printed unfortunately, so they'll be playing card size, essentially.

Yes! Definitely rounded corners. Though I'll be needing to double check everything with the printer and will hopefully find out soon. :D
