Went to Hillarys boat harbour yesterday to get out of the house (we had to get some shopping done anyway, which we did on the way home).

It was overcast and we got caught in some heavy rain twice. It was pretty awesome actually. I love getting caught in the rain.


















We stopped off at the English confectionary store on the way out and I picked up some salted licorice (knoopjes and salmiak balls. As a result, my GERD is playing up like maaaaad this morning. Ah well.

This is more of a marina than a beach, isn't it? Marinas can appear to be quiet oases of space.

Sometimes I find myself missing the call of the ocean. Used to live within an hour of the beach, for many years. But the mountains are 'loud' in my experience.

Yeah, Hillarys Boat Harbour is the official name, it's a tourism district, does pretty well for itself.

I love those clouds, especially over the water. It looks like it would be nice to be surrounded by all those boats too.
