The Little Ship

Lines - This is the beginning of cross-hatching the clouds. You heard me. I groaned when I realised a) how long it would take and then b) that it was too late to change to some other more time-saving efficient technique. Woe is me. Should look kick ass though. In like 200 years.

Spirals - It's funny, up close you can see how PTSD + art = shaky lines. Mostly, I can control it. Particularly in the spirals. But in the waves, up close, you can see the little tremors that pretty much affect my hands 24/7. It's sort of like... weird that I do linework, and fine linework at that, considering my hands shake.

Machinery - I have decided when I come back, I'd like to be reincarnated as a gigantic steampunk giant squid. Yes.

Whoa, so many spirals. My hand hurts to look at them.

I love the waves, and the fine crosshatching/stippling on the metal. Those spirals must have been dizzying to undertake, though the effect is wonderful.

*flails* I love the little ship!!!

It's funny, 'cause your style is so organic that I was certain steampunk would be out of your reach, but you're totally making it work.

I really enjoy the shakiness of your lines; it gives your artwork an organic feel that super smooth lines can't quite evoke. :)

This is already SO COOL.

My hands shake, too, but I love doing fine line work, so . . . yeah, I hear you on that one.

That's looking really gorgeous!!

(And I like the trembly lines. It gives the drawing a feeling of... this is a *person* that drew it.

If that makes sense. :P)

I missed the ship when I was first looking at all the pictures. I was like 'what does she mean shepherd of ships?!?' :d

I'm so blonde sometimes I even amaze myself :)

This is looking fantastic my love. Make sure you're getting enough breaks in for yourself! *hugs*

I kinda of gasped when I saw the little ship. SO *that's* what the steampunk squid was looking after. Before I thought there was something but I wasn't quite sure what.

The ship is a great touch. For some reason I thought of the Titanic when I saw it.

You know, the shakiness of the lines gets lost once you put down color. I wouldn't worry about it too much :)
