Sumatran Striped Rabbit
Nesolagus netscheri

The Sumatran striped rabbit lives in high elevations of forest in the Barisan mountains. It is critically endangered and elusive, having only been sighted less than a handful of times (three times in the wild as of 2009). It is considered the world’s rarest rabbit. They prefer not to go looking far for food, staying in one spot and eating what’s around them – usually understorey plants. They are nocturnal, and hide in burrows during the day. They have unusually striped bodies, and red tails.

As a Totem Animal

Being elusive, cultivating sequestered habits, being unusual, forest wisdom and magic, a connection to forest wights, finding hidden spaces, a deep understanding of shadows and shadow magic, fooling and obfuscation, possessing rare qualities

Oooooers... I like this one. I can't put my finger exactly on what it is that I like, but I really like it. The colors are gorgeous and there's just... something that calls to me in it.

It is cute as a bunny! Only it has really little ears. It's other name is the 'Sumatran short-eared bunny.' Heh.
