Rattlesnake is incredibly challenging for me in a lot of ways, or was initially. But I've come to the conclusion [at least initially] that it's all about standing one's ground and defending oneself/one's property. There's definitely far more to it than that, but that's the initial work I've been doing the last several years.

I'm actually working with shatterpath to create a design for a rattlesnake tattoo that will go on my back. The current idea [as it has been morphing for a while] is the rattle at the base of my spine, two fangs coming from under my hairline [one with a drop of blood, the other with a drop of venom], and a series of the "diamonds" for each chakra point along my spine.
