Getting from here to there.
(I'm posting these up as I fend off some health stuff).
So for this year's Inktober, I decided on one big project,
and decided to revisit the Bronze Forest concept,
from some years ago.
So here we go. Something that's going to take me ages, lol. The Copper Forest.
1.

2. Colour values. Here I was trying to just sketch in basic compositional shapes to get an idea of how I wanted the foreground/midground and background to sit, and then how I wanted the light to fall. I chose the bottom right. Though I'm using compositional elements from all.

3. The first sketch. Emuwrens.

4. Details from the first day.

5. Actual size.

6.

7. A possum thingo with spines appears!

8. Actual size.

9. This didn't look like much work but it actually took forever.

10. Wide shot.

11. And this took even longer, but I thought it looked more substantial by the end. :)

12. Developing details. 0.1 fineliner. (I'm only working with a 0.1 and 0.5).
