And maybe this is silly...but do you have any ideas on books or things to look into to learn crosshatching? I was always really annoyed that we never covered it in my drawing class in college, and I honestly just can't do it. I understand what to do, but if I'm sitting down and working with an image, I can never figure out how/where to actually do it. XD
To learn cross-hatching, not really. Though if you picked up just about any book on learning-to-draw in technical pen, they'll cover it and how to use it. I mostly instinctively picked it up, there's probably even good Youtube videos on art techniques now though! :D
That's a pretty awesome little guy with the shrooms growing out of him. Apologies for not checking in recently - I don't check on DW every day and my health has been kind of crap and my brother has been living here with me for the last month or so... *sigh* I'm trying to catch up on some of your posts and just wanted to let you know I'm still here.
Sometimes I love the look of in-process art even more than finished art. It's a pretty indescribable feeling. That being said, I can't wait to see this finished, it looks magical. :)
