There weren't even single shots of say... shocked faces. Nothing at all. :/ That is very concerning, more than the jokes themselves. The tone of how an audience is expected to react to dialogue is set by the context of the setting and the reaction of the characters to that dialogue. So even quite harmful dialogue can be made to be subversive through character reaction.
That there is no outrage or character reaction to both jokes suggests just how deeply the team at House accept these sorts of jokes/humour.
