Oh, lovely! I'm really liking the "multiple critters" style, same as with Foxes Don't Cry.

I'm curious - is there a significant on one of the swamphens standing on the belly of another?

There's something quite sad about a picture like this, with the birds so immediate in the painting, but knowing that they aren't actually...out there. I don't know.

I really like the one we're looking at from above, on the left, lower corner. He has personality. :)

I like this a lot! I like their shiny red eyes, and the heads peering in at different angles. Yay birds :D

(Except that I keep reading the title as some dude's name, like, all of it: "May I now introduce Lord Howe Swamphens." and wanting to pronounce it "swampfens.")

I also wonder this.

Beautiful! I'm glad you had your rest but it always brightens my day to see more Pia art. :)

Oh, man. I really love this. You have all the animals in their complicated positions, yet it still comes off as minimalist. Lovely, lovely balance. -bounce-

Oh wow! This is really pretty and so striking with the minimum of color.

I am really starting to like these multiple critter pieces...

I am glad I'm not the only one! I went "huh, who is Lord Howe Swamfens? Didn't know they had Lords in Australia anymore..."

I love the individuality in the poses in these. We only have one related species here, and the expressions on these match what I'm accustomed to seeing on American coots. They're charming, amusing birds.

Beautiful! I am loving how much white space there is as well.

There was something really bugging me about this picture, but I couldn't figure out what it was the entire day.

Then I now noticed the "extinct" you wrote. I think that was it.

It's a really eerie portrait, though drawing-wise it's interesting and dynamic. I'm starting to like the multi-critter portraits too.

But this particular one is sure to haunt my dreams.

I love it! My eye is drawn to the one the main focus bird is standing on. I want to know the story. And it draws me in. XD So, good! I love it! :D
