How did you finish the rest of the coloring so fast?
I've always been quick with colouring. I have to be, in many ways. Illustrator's board has taught me to be fast, since - when it comes to watercolour washes - the water just disappears and to get a smooth wash, you need to move very very quickly.
But colouring for me is just not that time-consuming anymore. With years and years of my particular fineliner -> watercolour pencil -> pencil style under my belt, what would've taken me 30 hours in the past takes a fraction of that now.
I think that's one of the signs of a professional artist. My 'hourly' rate becomes reasonable, because it just doesn't take me a ridiculous amount of time to turn out detailed artwork.
Though it has got me thinking about what a 30 hour piece of art of mine would look like, these days. Lol.
