Photo/s of the day.

This is the 'coloured pencil' part of the process. One of my favourite parts actually, because essentially it's just smoothing everything out, blending things in, picking out highlights, and it's a lot like colouring in an awesome colouring in book! Plus, you can see the difference like this (I didn't know if it would be as obvious if I didn't compare and contrast).

I haven't touched the flowers, or the background yet, I've worked on her face, hair, the cloak, and the wolf's face, and the energy spirals. :)

Something that struck me with this post is that this is really a very medieval style of art, with a very modern style of coloring and shading worked into it.

Yeah, there are elements of nouveau and Saint illustration in my work, though the linework wasn't the same in the medieval period.
