The glow from the skull is kinda freaky. Too realistic for me, I love your work and what you do, but shit, that would give me the creeps if I walked into a dark room and that was on the wall. Just amazing.

[identity profile] moonvoice.livejournal.com 2009-12-04 10:57 pm (UTC)(link)
It is pretty realistic. I woke up and saw it this morning and I personally loved it, but you know, to those who don't like glowing skulls in their rooms, it probably wouldn't work. Heh.

[identity profile] dulcimergoddess.livejournal.com 2009-12-04 10:44 am (UTC)(link)
that's very beautiful

[identity profile] moonvoice.livejournal.com 2009-12-04 10:57 pm (UTC)(link)
Thank you. :)

You've got some amazing amounts of detail in this one. O.o

Her eyes have this calculating look, especially since her smile seems to carry to her eyes as well. She reminds me a little of me when I'm in a certain mindset/mode.

Her neck creeps me out. That's what holds the creepy factor for me in this pic!

My favorite bit might be the detail, light and coloring on the chain. On my screen at least, it's photo-realistic. ^_^

I do love her eyes too and the way her smile touches them.

The chain was a lot of fun actually, especially as I didn't use any references for that, and just trusted my instincts and where I imagined the light would go.

ps. I love the wooden drawers to the right in the pic, on your desk, with the tree emblem on them. Those are neat. ^_^ Where did you find them? Did they have the tree art on them already or did you put it on?

How on earth did you practically make light using pens?!?! I feel like if I hung it in my room it would really glow. Stunning work!

[identity profile] moonvoice.livejournal.com 2009-12-04 11:01 pm (UTC)(link)
Well, pencils and acrylics mostly. Um... hmm... guesswork? I couldn't actually find an adequately 'glowing skull' online for a reference (except for florid green glow in the dark ones), so I had to guess most of this lighting. Evil lighting.

[identity profile] kehleyr.livejournal.com 2009-12-04 11:38 am (UTC)(link)
Wow... I'm speechless!

[identity profile] moonvoice.livejournal.com 2009-12-04 11:02 pm (UTC)(link)
Hopefully in a good way. :)

Already said it on dA, but this piece really hits home in a very empowering sort of way. Incredibly deep and moving.

Thank you for sharing

I can see why this one drove you to bungee jump the chasm of insanity. Very intense. I like the low light view the best.

[identity profile] moonvoice.livejournal.com 2009-12-04 11:05 pm (UTC)(link)
I like the low light view the best.

Yeah, me too. It just glows from certain angles in low light. And our house is pretty dim, so that makes me happy.

[identity profile] toeknuckles.livejournal.com 2009-12-04 01:53 pm (UTC)(link)
Holy SHIT that's so awesome I almost wee-ed myself!

[identity profile] moonvoice.livejournal.com 2009-12-04 11:07 pm (UTC)(link)

I am about to go out into the building storm, but this image is a spectacular one to take with me (and very much fits)! I love the lit skull, and the shadows under the trees.

[identity profile] moonvoice.livejournal.com 2009-12-04 11:11 pm (UTC)(link)
Good luck with the storm! And thank you. :)

[identity profile] scarletwildfire.livejournal.com 2009-12-04 03:04 pm (UTC)(link)
the art is cool... but for once I'm just as attracted to your music tag.

Ben Folds Five is one of my all-time favs. :P

(back to the regularly scheduled program: can we get a pic or two of the detail. It always blows me away and I know you were commented earlier about the embroidery being a bitch.)

[identity profile] moonvoice.livejournal.com 2009-12-04 11:13 pm (UTC)(link)
Ben Folds Five is fantastic, such a shame that so many people don't know about him and his early stuff now.

[identity profile] shadows-wolf06.livejournal.com 2009-12-04 03:46 pm (UTC)(link)
Holy.
Freaking.
Crap.

Best piece to date. Seriously.

[identity profile] moonvoice.livejournal.com 2009-12-04 11:17 pm (UTC)(link)
Wow, that's awesome!

Wow, the illumination is amazing. I love your fairytale series! Thank you so much for sharing these.

[identity profile] moonvoice.livejournal.com 2009-12-04 11:17 pm (UTC)(link)
I'm glad you like it! Now to convince my muse to help me to hunt down the next fairytale image.

I keep staring at this! The layers of colouring are mind blowing and I agree with everyone who said it looks like it actually could be a light source in real life. Her eyes seem to glitter with life. I am so blown away by this piece!

I think it's one of my favourites out of all you've done; everything about it is amazing!

[identity profile] moonvoice.livejournal.com 2009-12-04 11:18 pm (UTC)(link)
Wow, thank you!
And the layers of colour were literally mind blowing. If you see pieces of my brain anywhere? Please return to Western Australia. *g*
