They're all amazing! I love how Emu looks proud and Cassowary has wobbly swirlies and a friendly gaze. :)

[identity profile] moonvoice.livejournal.com 2010-07-04 02:11 am (UTC)(link)
The cassowary looks damned intimidating to me, but that's because I've met them and they are damned intimidating. Heh.

Lovely! The yellow in Golden Pheasant is wonderfully intense, and I love the soft browns in Bobtail Lizard.

[identity profile] moonvoice.livejournal.com 2010-07-04 02:12 am (UTC)(link)
Lots of layering to get that yellow!

I think the bobtail is my own favourite out of this batch. Next to Emu.

I must get a print of the emu and cassowary for my friend. When might they be available?

If you ever decide to do a Dromaeosaurus (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dromaeosaurus) too...that's his 3 totems right there XD

They all turned out so lovely!!!

[identity profile] moonvoice.livejournal.com 2010-07-04 02:13 am (UTC)(link)
The prints should already be available. If you scroll up, there are links provided to the print pages at the top (just before the larger pictures).

The details in your coloring never ceases to amaze me; it seems like with every batch of pictures you're leveling up! The shading on Cassowary is particularly nice.

[identity profile] moonvoice.livejournal.com 2010-07-04 02:13 am (UTC)(link)
Heh, levelling up, I hope there's not a boss at the end!

[identity profile] lupabitch.livejournal.com 2010-07-04 06:11 am (UTC)(link)
If there is, you can go all Okami on it and paintbrush it to death!

[identity profile] jkoyanagi.livejournal.com 2010-07-03 05:16 pm (UTC)(link)
Love love love!

[identity profile] moonvoice.livejournal.com 2010-07-04 02:14 am (UTC)(link)
Yay! *dances*

[identity profile] makhsihed.livejournal.com 2010-07-03 05:47 pm (UTC)(link)
Those are gorgeous! I adore the colors in the lizard.

Cassowaries have always scared the fuck out of me. Dino-birds I calls them. With their hungry eyes and their sharp beaks and snake-charmer movements. SCARY DINO BIRDS. But it is interesting how you can really see birds evolving from dinosaurs when you look at a cassowary...

Yours looks friendly instead of scary. Thus, IT IS TRYING TO SUCKER PEOPLE IN SO IT CAN EATS THEM. >_>

[identity profile] moonvoice.livejournal.com 2010-07-04 02:14 am (UTC)(link)
Cassowaries kill people. Often on purpose. I can see why people are scared of them!

[identity profile] limiinal.livejournal.com 2010-07-03 06:20 pm (UTC)(link)
The colors are gorgeous! I especially love the palette for the golden pheasant piece.

[identity profile] moonvoice.livejournal.com 2010-07-04 02:15 am (UTC)(link)
Thank you! :)

[identity profile] sabr.livejournal.com 2010-07-03 06:52 pm (UTC)(link)
Amazing! You've outdone yourself, love.

[identity profile] moonvoice.livejournal.com 2010-07-04 02:15 am (UTC)(link)
Thank you very much. :)

Beautiful as always! ♥

Thank you! *dances*

[identity profile] scarletwildfire.livejournal.com 2010-07-03 07:27 pm (UTC)(link)
I keep getting drawn to the lizard. I like him :)

[identity profile] moonvoice.livejournal.com 2010-07-04 02:16 am (UTC)(link)
I like them in real life, too. They are really slow, and when you startle them, if they can't plod away fast enough, they open their big mouth and try and scare you away with a big blue tongue!

[identity profile] zuki-san.livejournal.com 2010-07-05 05:37 am (UTC)(link)
Now I know why the glyph along the back is blue!

[identity profile] silverjackal.livejournal.com 2010-07-03 07:45 pm (UTC)(link)
I really, really like the shading in all of these, and the way the backgrounds flow. I also find the energy spirals on the cassowary mesmerizing. :)

[identity profile] moonvoice.livejournal.com 2010-07-04 02:16 am (UTC)(link)
Aw thank you. I enjoyed shading these. The cassowary background needed a lot of work to 'work', but we got there in the end. :)

[identity profile] amethyst-clan.livejournal.com 2010-07-03 09:06 pm (UTC)(link)
Wow. It's amazing what a difference the flash makes!

[identity profile] moonvoice.livejournal.com 2010-07-04 02:17 am (UTC)(link)
Oh yeah! You see those highlights if you just tilt the picture, or often, if you see them in artificial lighting at night - but I need the flash to get a good direct capture of the iridescence and metallic paint. :D

[identity profile] darakat-ewr.livejournal.com 2010-07-03 10:38 pm (UTC)(link)
Oh that golden pheasant! *swoons*

[identity profile] moonvoice.livejournal.com 2010-07-04 02:17 am (UTC)(link)
*dances happily*

[identity profile] gemfyre.livejournal.com 2010-07-04 12:45 am (UTC)(link)
As usual, I am in love with your bird totems. But man, that Bobtail is amazingly good!

[identity profile] moonvoice.livejournal.com 2010-07-04 02:18 am (UTC)(link)
Aw, thank you! I really enjoyed that bobtail, I don't think I get to do enough reptiles in retrospect, because they are an awful lot of fun - even if those scales get annoying after a while.

Oh man, the mala icon, that is still one of my favourites that I've ever done.

Beautiful!

[identity profile] ysabetwordsmith.livejournal.com 2010-07-04 02:44 am (UTC)(link)
The cat and the cassowary are my favorites.

[identity profile] tigerweave.livejournal.com 2010-07-04 03:34 am (UTC)(link)
These make us happy to look at :-)

[identity profile] mirrorred-star.livejournal.com 2010-07-04 04:57 am (UTC)(link)
I love them *all*!

[identity profile] eclyptical.livejournal.com 2010-07-04 06:43 am (UTC)(link)
I really like your colors, and the energy in these. Great work.

[identity profile] sidheblessed.livejournal.com 2010-07-05 06:47 am (UTC)(link)
I love, love, love how vibrant these all are. I'm especially in love with emu and cassowary. Both really draw me in for some reason, even though in real life I'm afraid of cassowaries and emus give me the creeps.

These are gorgeous! The color schemes are really rich and vibrant on all of them. And the emu really struck a chord in me, despite my personal issues with them.

Nicely done!

[identity profile] silere.livejournal.com 2010-07-05 07:13 pm (UTC)(link)
Delicious! I especiall love the bobtail lizard's color pallet and awesome scales.. and the cassowary's super-confident gaze, and the glyph.. and the halo of crackly swirlies... he feels like something not to be trifled with.

And fishing cat's furrrr. mm.

They are all awesome.

[identity profile] sonne-windsoul.livejournal.com 2010-07-06 04:14 am (UTC)(link)
These are great and turned out beautifully (as usual :3), I especially like the cassowary and golden pheasant.

[identity profile] amorvincitnos.livejournal.com 2010-07-06 01:17 pm (UTC)(link)
I feel like it's especially noticeable how your art gets better and better and more finely detailed in the "as totems" series. And I think it's super noticeable in Cassowary here.

They are all awesome as usual, of course.
