I see what you mean about the colors! I like the mix, with all the subtle greens and russet/reds playing off each other.
With the background colors you use in your art like this, is it a deliberate process that places the colors where they are or is it more random? I'm just curious, because the effect is always random-looking (excepting the parts like here, with the green around the figure, which is obviously placed on purpose) yet very balanced, and I admire it a lot.
I know generally what colours I want, and where I want them - for example, the paler yellows on the right hand side, but on the on the left, and greens on the left hand side, and only slightly on the right; but the process of combining the colours is pretty random.
So it's like... I know, but I don't know. I can also always colour correct later, too.
