Maggie's Golden Pig, wot?

I seriously had so much fun doing this piece, though it took a lot more time than usual, and doing 'gold' in colours that are not actually gold resulted in a few swear words before I finally got the hang of it.

Well this is a gift for my Aunt Maggie, who turns 50 this week, and who was born in the Year of the Pig, and celebrates her birthday in the Year of the Pig. It seemed appropriate. That and my Mum put in a request. And so did Maggie, actually, about 4 months ago.

The colouring in this took like... a while. It looks unreal in real life.

I actually had gold paint on standby in case I needed it, and didn't end up using it which was really cool. :)

Wonderful! Your shading and highlighting skill is just perfect. I can never get it right. Once again, the colors are just fantastic. Girl, why are you not famous yet? Seriously! I can see your stuff all over everything, and I would love to buy journals with your artwork on the front and posters and notecards... I could just surround myself with your artwork. You are fantastic! :-)
