This sort of makes me wish I could sew up a panel blanket of your totems.

[identity profile] moonvoice.livejournal.com 2010-01-24 11:51 pm (UTC)(link)
I always wanted to get about 100 together, attach them with rings, and then hang them as a feature on a wall.

But then I always liked the idea of people getting about 9, attaching them in rings or in a very large frame, and having that as a feature too. They look so good when you have a bunch together.

How much for the Cardinal?

[identity profile] anrui-ichido.livejournal.com 2010-01-24 11:53 pm (UTC)(link)
They look amazing all laid out like that. So full of colour and energy. :)

[identity profile] moonvoice.livejournal.com 2010-01-24 11:54 pm (UTC)(link)
Red Cardinal is a whole $40 USD + $5 USD for insured postage. :) (down from $80 USD)

[identity profile] moonvoice.livejournal.com 2010-01-24 11:54 pm (UTC)(link)
Oh I love laying them out, though I have to be careful what animals go around each other, since some don't like to be near each other. Heh. Is that weird? I'm weird.

[identity profile] gishkishenh.livejournal.com 2010-01-24 11:55 pm (UTC)(link)
Can you hold that one for me? I want to buy it, but I need to wait for the second week of next month- if that's ok.

[identity profile] moonvoice.livejournal.com 2010-01-24 11:56 pm (UTC)(link)
Yup, I can do that. :)

[identity profile] tygerwulfe.livejournal.com 2010-01-25 12:05 am (UTC)(link)
How much for Red-Tailed Hawk? :)

[identity profile] moonvoice.livejournal.com 2010-01-25 12:07 am (UTC)(link)
Red-tailed hawk is down from $90 USD to $60 USD, + $5 for insured postage.

[identity profile] end-of-the-mind.livejournal.com 2010-01-25 12:10 am (UTC)(link)
How much are KRat and Great horned owl? (And who is the lovely corvid hiding in the upper corner?)

Not sure how much fundage I have right now, but I'd like at least a price :)

[identity profile] moonvoice.livejournal.com 2010-01-25 12:13 am (UTC)(link)
Kangaroo rat is $60 USD (down from $100 USD)
Great horned owl is $50 USD (down from $90 USD)

and the corvid is... *checks*

Actually the corvidish looking Blue Mockingbird, who is lonely, and going for $40 USD down from $80 USD.

All $5 postage each, or the same if you get more than one.

[identity profile] tygerwulfe.livejournal.com 2010-01-25 12:16 am (UTC)(link)
I think I'm going to have to hold out for Dire Wolf when you get there... Your pieces are wonderful, but I'm far too much of a starving artist.

[identity profile] moonvoice.livejournal.com 2010-01-25 12:19 am (UTC)(link)
That's cool, though there's a chance that Dire Wolf will never get done. I'm not sure if I'll ever be returning to the request lists at this point.

I'd probably consider it as a commission wi deposit down the track though.

[identity profile] storm-seeker.livejournal.com 2010-01-25 12:20 am (UTC)(link)
What's the middle totem in the last row? I feel daft for asking since everyone else seems to know what they all are. XD

[identity profile] moonvoice.livejournal.com 2010-01-25 12:22 am (UTC)(link)
That is a regular brown mouse, but very close up. He's one of the very first I ever did, and still one of my favourites.

[identity profile] storm-seeker.livejournal.com 2010-01-25 12:47 am (UTC)(link)
I thought it was a brown mouse, but you often do exotic or Australian animals so I didn't want to assume.

He is beautiful. And the connection the image has is amazing and very potent; I noticed it right off the bat.

I'm totally sitting here trying to ascertain whether or not I could afford to buy this from you atm. (And thinking of all the other things I really ought to put my money to, and still pondering.) :3 From your other pricing, I'm guessing he's about $60?

What is it with me and mice! I remember I almost wound up keeping a couple awhile back because I was so drawn to them, and had prior totem experiences with Mouse.

I notice you don't have a totem dictionary page for brown mouse. What would you say his/her attributes and lessons are in your experience?

[identity profile] moonvoice.livejournal.com 2010-01-25 12:50 am (UTC)(link)
Mouse is $70 USD down from $100, but if you really want him, I can sell him for $60 + $5 postage. :)

As for mouse, I've never done a file, I've never really disagreed with any other totem meanings and they're so frequently covered, but I suppose the things that immediately come to mind - proliferation, adaptability but not sustainability, intelligence, problem solving, getting what you want, opportunity, letting people know their place, knowing your place, belonging.

And, to be cryptic, probably an element of 'The Magician' and magic as well. Mice have always been such totem wizards to me.

Ooooh! Blue mockers are on my "Must see before the next decade!" list. Apparently they occur in far south Texas during the summer. I may have to help the lonely bugger out! Can I get back to you tomorrow? I'm leaning toward the mocker and the owl right now, but that would leave me with three birdies. Mammals need to represent! SO I may go with the mocker and the KRat.

(I also need to go order a print of rat from DA. My cat ate my original ;-;)

[identity profile] moonvoice.livejournal.com 2010-01-25 01:04 am (UTC)(link)
Yeah sure, let me know tomorrow. :)

Also, that kangaroo rat is stunning in person. I mean they all are, but I've always been really enamoured of that one.

[identity profile] end-of-the-mind.livejournal.com 2010-01-25 01:06 am (UTC)(link)
Yeah, the longer I think about how special the critters are in my life (prefessionally and personally!), the more I think I must have KRat if nothing else. They're such precious animals, too! Very sweet-tempered and trusting right out of the live trap.

[identity profile] moonvoice.livejournal.com 2010-01-25 01:10 am (UTC)(link)
Very sweet-tempered and trusting right out of the live trap.

That is so awesome. I wish we had them here.

[identity profile] storm-seeker.livejournal.com 2010-01-25 01:18 am (UTC)(link)
I think I would like him actually. :)

Could you email me with what would work for you as a payment plan? My only real concern at the moment is the unknowns that are coming to pass in the next few days (if I'm moving, how much Max's next vet visit is going to cost - I need to take him for that blood test, I think, and what sort of schedule one of my client's is going to want to reduce her services to, if she will, since she's getting a divorce.)

So if we could do a payment plan that would be awesome.

[identity profile] nicanthiel.livejournal.com 2010-01-25 01:20 am (UTC)(link)
What's the one above the horned owl? It looks familiar, but hang me if I can name it.

[identity profile] moonvoice.livejournal.com 2010-01-25 01:22 am (UTC)(link)
Not meaning to be completely annoying, but what's your email address again? (Or you could email me @ ophelias.diary@gmail.com, whichever works). And a payment plan would be fine. :)
