What is it with ravens eluding my damned camera! I hear them, I see them, I see amazing shots to take of them, but when it comes to pointing and clicking, where are they???
You'll have to content yourself with these instead.

Rainbow Lorikeets - well, they may be a pest, but they look damned good. Loud bastards though.

This little guy below was with a partner who would hop back every now and then. The partner spent most of its time hollowing out, or increasing the hollow in a branch, while he kept watch. They kept calling to each other and it was really quite cute.

We look the same!

One of my faves...

Oh, they are just magnificent, thank you so much for sharing! One of these days I simply must get to Australia. I would love to see those colorful birds in the wild as much as I'm hoping to someday see elephants in the wild.

Good advice:
I <3 screamikeets! But wow, what attitude they have!

You manage to get such splendid shots of birds - I don't know how you do it, but I salute your skill! *grin*
These are beautiful. I love glimpses into your world.

I saw a wallaby for the first time last week. This lady looked like she was pregnant and wearing overalls. But then her belly started to move. And then a baby kangaroo stuck its head out of the top pocket! It was so cool. I wonder what it is like to see them jumping around outside somewhat normally.
Also, how big are kangaroos?
Sorry, these are total newb questions, but I am so fascinated by these pictures that I had to put out my ignorance and ask about the bushlands.
