Photo/s of the day.

My kittehs.

My foot and a box and a Maybe. And the bits and pieces of the box from Maybe's 'eating adventures.'

Moet says: I can see you, under there, Maybe.

This is like Maybe's version of 'that scene' from The Blair Witch Project.

The white patch on her throat, the vet informed me, is called a 'locket.' It is a disqualifying and yet common feature in bengals. It ironically makes her more likely to be a bengal cross.

Her little whiskery cheeks have been gaining colour over the past two months. When she was born, they were white. Now the are where her whiskers are, her chin, and underneath are starting to change colour. The locket is still very white though. It's the only patch of non-ticked fur she has. Any 'white' fur she has anywhere else is ticked black down the bottom.

I smelled something interesting and now my mouth is going to hang open a tiny bit while I process what that means.

Love it.

Moet has a superiority complex, clearly.

I love his fur, my champagne Moet, my cream tabby. Before I got him, I had never actually seen a cream tabby (cream is the dilute of red, just like grey is the dilute of black) before. He gets the most amazing colourings. In Summer he goes more cinnamon, and his markings stand out a little more. In Winter he goes more creamy white, and the markings stand out less. At the moment he's in a holding pattern because he's still shedding (A LOT OF SHEDDING, his undercoat is like WOAH).

I was very spoiled as a child. I had a Russian Blue x with the distinctive emerald green eyes. Now very few other kitty eyes seem as vivid to me. But that's okay. Moet's plenty expressive without emerald green eyes.

He's also the king of everything.

always love pics of kitties. Yours are fabulously gorgeous.

The green eyes of some breeds are incredible. My Shaido has the most gorgeous gold eyes, that I love looking at. (it seems staring into the eyes is something of a dominance thing, and he'll turn away often) Siren's eyes are a paler, more greeny gold.

The locket is interesting - if I knew what breed Shaido might be, I'm sure his 'ascot' (same place) is the disqualifer, since he's all black.

btw - he's doing better.
