What kind of jackal do you mean by "Jackal" as a totem? Golden? Black-backed? Side-striped? They are quite different, particularly if one includes the Simian/Ethiopian wolf (though research seems to be leaning towards classifying it as closer to the grey wolf now).

All, as a collective totem energy. I tend to do collective totems (like Sifaka), and then specifics as well to make way for the variations (I have Snake / Green Emerald Boa / Taipan and so on).
