It's a good thing you were diligent in behavior changes!

It shocks me that anyone could just 'leave it' if a cat vomited 12 times over night, without a history of vomiting. :( But that + her being off her food were huge red flags. The poor thing. She was also lying differently to usual, so I figured she was in abdominal pain.

They're my babies, I'd be horrified if I didn't know if they weren't well.

I hope she feels better soon, too.
