Money is important to me too, and the only reason I'm still not working part-time in retail is because of my knee (the stupid one that still needs further surgery).

I'm hoping once my knee is better - if it ever gets better - I can go back into working full time.

I, like you, don't want to be living hand to mouth, and plan on even owning my own house one day. *sigh*
