Yeah, we caught it in the sun as we drove in, then never saw the sun again while were there and it went from sparkling and charming to, well, 'grey cinder blocks.' Given that Aberdeen is in the North-East, and is gloomier than most of Scotland, and greyer, and rainier, it may not have been the *best* choice, but it sort of fits the industrialised feel of the place.
