Comments like "I'm sorry, I can't survive on iceberg lettuce/ celery" just make me laugh and cry at the same time.

C'mon, you're not even supposed to give parrots iceberg lettuce. It's got next to no nutritional value, next to no flavor and it smells like chlorine bleach when it starts to wilt. Celery can at least be used as a carrier for peanut butter and cream cheese. And celery root - now that's yummy. But here, once again, a pound of celery is twice as expensive as a pound of burger.

It was much easier eating a more herbivorous diet in California.
