Well, to be fair I haven't seen a Bateleur eagle in years, but in the warmer months I see Red-tailed Hawks daily. Usually more than one bird as they're very common here. I'm particularly fond of the youngsters. In late summer many of the young birds will perch unconcerned on fence posts and other low vantage points, and you can walk right up within 2 m of them. They're simply not afraid, so if you don't move quickly or make noise they'll just sit and look at you, looking at them. :) They're charming birds, but I've never felt an real connection. But I find your artwork on the subject mesmerizing. Curious.
