Heh, I'd actually love to cowrite a book with you someday, but right now I's still a baby shaman, as it were.

I'm not sure if you being an Oraiyjek (our version of 'baby shaman', lol), would even matter. If anything, it could be an asset to those going through the process of creating their own shamanhoods, independently of 'classical Indigenous cultures.' Heh.

I like the term "reconstructionism" because it's not too esoteric, and with a particular cultural denotation before it, it clarifies what the people are doing. I wish we could come up with something similar--not using the term reconstructionist, but instead [word] shamanism, or shamanic [word].

Yeah, because 'contemporary non-Core shamanism' at its heart, brings Core shamanism into it because it uses it as a qualifier. That doesn't work either. I've even though about taking the 'shaman/ist' out of it completely and replacing it with animist. Animist 'something,' or 'something' animist.

But I don't rock out at choosing new terms for things.

Except for blaughter, which I came up with the other day, meaning 'bored laughter.' I blaugh a lot.
